# Test and go live

> What to test in Sandbox, and what a Live widget needs.

## Test in Sandbox

Sandbox is for testing your integration end to end before any real money moves.

1. Create the Sandbox widget and open it from your page with `environment: "sandbox"` ([Add the widget](/ramps/widget/quickstart)).
2. Complete one sell and one buy as a customer, using the [Sandbox test data](/ramps/reference/sandbox-test-data) for the bank account and identity check.
3. In the dashboard, with the environment switch on **Sandbox**, open **Ramps** and set **Source** to **Widget payments**. Both payments should be there, ending as **Succeeded**.
4. If you use webhooks, confirm your Sandbox endpoint received `ramp.payment.succeeded` for each.
5. If you use signed links, open one after its `exp` and check your page handles `onError` with `expired`.

## Go live

Live needs a verified business and its own widget.

    Complete business verification in the dashboard. Until it's approved, the environment switch shows that Live isn't available yet.

  <Step title="Create the Live widget">
    Switch the environment to **Live** and go to **Settings → Ramps → Website widget**. The Live widget has its own ID, websites, settings and signing secret; nothing carries over from Sandbox. Websites must be `https`; `localhost` isn't allowed.

  <Step title="Update your page">
    Set `environment: "live"` and the Live widget ID. For signed links, sign with the Live secret and use `https://ramp.onstacks.io` as the host. If you set a Content Security Policy, `frame-src` must include `https://ramp.onstacks.io`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Register a Live webhook, if you use one">
    Sandbox webhooks don't carry over. Add the Live endpoint under **Developer** and send a test event.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Make one real payment">
    Complete a small sell or buy yourself and find it under **Ramps** with the environment switch on **Live**.
  </Step>

To stop new payments at any time, turn off **Accept new widget links** in the widget settings. Payments already in progress finish.
