# Transaction statuses

> Every status a ramp transaction can have, and what to do with it.

## Ramp Checkout

Users see these states on the page.

| Status | Meaning | User action |
| - | - | - |
| `requested` | Order created, waiting for payment or deposit. | Pay or send. |
| `pending` | Payment or deposit seen, waiting for confirmation. | Wait. |
| `processing` | Provider is settling the other leg. | Wait. |
| `completed` | Funds delivered. | None. |
| `failed` | Settlement failed. Any received funds are returned or held for support. | Contact support with the reference. |

## White-Label API payments

| `status` | Meaning | Terminal |
| - | - | - |
| `pending` | Created; waiting for funds or provider acceptance. | No |
| `processing` | Provider settling. | No |
| `requires_action` | Payer or customer input needed. | No |
| `succeeded` | Delivered. | Yes |
| `failed` | Settlement failed; funds released or returned. | Yes |
| `cancelled` | Cancelled before settlement. | Yes |
| `expired` | Not funded in time. | Yes |
