# Sandbox testing guide

> Test data for Ramp in sandbox, and what sandbox simulates for ramps.

Sandbox is open to every workspace from sign-up. It uses testnet tokens and provider sandboxes, so no real money moves.

## What is real and what is simulated

| Area | Sandbox behaviour |
| - | - |
| API keys, webhooks, policies | Real. Same code paths as live. |
| Wallets | Real testnet wallets on `ethereum_sepolia`. |
| Quotes | Real provider sandbox pricing where the provider offers it, otherwise mock rates. Check `X-Onstacks-Provider-Network-Mode`. |
| Payouts | Sent to provider sandboxes. They settle to test accounts and never reach a real bank. |
| Identity | Identity resolution returns fixed test identities per market (Nigeria BVN today). |
