# Onramp

> Fiat in, stablecoins out, through the same calls.

Onramp uses the same endpoints as offramp with `direction` set to `on_ramp`. The source is a fiat asset, the destination is a stablecoin, and the destination object is a wallet.

## Quote

```json theme={"system"}
{
  "direction": "on_ramp",
  "source_asset": "NGN",
  "source_amount": "150000000",
  "destination_asset": "USDC",
  "country_code": "NG",
  "rail": "bank"
}
```

## Confirm

```json theme={"system"}
{
  "destination": {
    "wallet": { "address": "0xabc...", "network": "base" }
  },
  "idempotency_key": "topup-9012"
}
```

The payment is created `pending` with `funding_instructions` containing the bank account the payer must transfer to and the amount. When the transfer is detected the payment moves to `processing`, and to `succeeded` when the stablecoins are delivered to the wallet.

<Tip>
  For repeated pay-ins from the same customer, open a virtual account instead of quoting each time. See [Pay-ins](/ramps/virtual-accounts/payins).
